It's an exciting week here at Southern Sewing! I have officially surpassed the 10,000 subscriber mark on YouTube! While this may seem like a small number compared to most, it's such an honor to me. This is a number that I've grown from 0 and to see my channel grow, evolve, and prosper this last year has been so rewarding. Thank you to anyone who has ever taken the time to watch, comment, or share a video!
So, in honor of this, today I am sharing the 5 most popular videos on YouTube in 2024. Leave me a comment below and let me know which one was your favorite!
Beginner Quilting Series (Part Five): Quilting with a Walking Foot
-This particular video of the BQS was the most popular of all! I've gotten many questions about using a walking foot to quilt, which I think is a wonderful alternative to sending your quilt to a long arm.
4. Personalized Baby Name Quilt Tutorial
-I love hearing feedback on this tutorial...the ability to personalize your quilts is so wonderful. This is an easy-to-achieve quilt that is perfect for yourself or a quick baby shower gift!
The Top 5 FREE Beginner Baby Quilt Patterns
- I was so surprised to see this video do so well! It's a combination of my favorite baby quilt projects that I've created, including one for my sweet little Cam.
How to Hand Embroider a Knit Sweater
-This is a good one! Especially during these colder months. In this video, I'm sharing from start to finish, how to embroider a knit sweater, including the supplies you need!
How to Hand Embroider a Swaddle Blanket
- By far the most popular, hands down! As of today, this one video has almost 350K views which blows my mind. When I created this tutorial, I had no idea that it would be so well received. I love seeing the comments and photos that people send me of their creations!
I'm so excited to have this list together and share it with you. While there are so many more videos on YouTube, each of them are put together with care and thought and with the beginner in mind. I hope you love them as much as I loved creating them! Here's to more in 2025...
